The Black Cat

The story describes quite a few crimes. In the first crime, a drunk man cut out a cats eye. In the second crime, the cat that got its eyes cut out was hung. All this was done because he was vexed by the cat. The third and last crime is the killing of his wife.

There were two cats. The one cat was the one he killed, and the second cat was the cat that stalked him. The quote "I had walled the monster up within the tomb" is the most memorable quote to me because it symbolizes the founding of his wife by the police.
