Additionally, we are supposed to take advantage of the references he made such as to past presidents and U.S. events, his family and other people he encountered in his life.

3. The narrative hook is: I know that sounds cynical, but let's be honest: politics in America is a money play full of charlatans and crazed ideologues. This line grasps my attention because O'Reilly is saying that politicians are charlatans meaning they are corrupt and claim to have special knowledge or skill when the reality is they don't know. Therefore, it caught my attention because it made me want to understand why this is and the meaning behind his statement.
