Frankenstein

It's time to update us on what you have been reading. Begin by mentioning the title and author of your book, then add 5 supporting details about your reading. If you are reading fiction,,--what has been happening to the characters? their conflicts? is there a new character?
If you are reading non-fiction , how has the author developed her thesis or main topic? scientific evidence? historical discoveries? biographical details?
Add 5 defined words from your book.

The book starts off by letters being written from a man named Robert Walton to his sister who lives in England. He is a captain of a ship who is headed on a dangerous mission to the North Pole. He tells his sister all of his plans thus far. He also expresses his deep passion for the desire to accomplish something great. Walton writes again telling of his sadness, he feels as though he has a lack of friends and no one to share his accomplishment or defeats with on the voyage. He is lonely and looks for comfort and companionship.
The only conflict that my character has faced so far are that of homesickness and loneliness. There are no new characters so far. My character has been telling his sister of his plans of a great trip to the north pole.
