The image shown here is a picture of a boat that appears to be crashing over during rough seas. The message of this image might be that the situation is very rough right now, as the high seas explained. However, there is a ray of sunlight int he background which could signalize that something good is going to happen or can serve as a sign of hope. The feeling I get is that something good always comes out of the bad. You might be stuck now, but the tavles will hopefully turn and change for the better. Additionally, the image also gives us a chance to take in nature and tie that in with a particular story from American Romanticism.
