The Fall of the House of Usher

The house of the main character, Roderick Usher, was very melancholy and very suspicious. In the time of the story Rodrick couldn't do anything about his sister, Madeline, being sick, and after she dies he has her buried underneath the house so that no one could find out about her death. During the story the narrator and Usher were reading stories when Madeline appears out of no where. They try to escape but only the narrator gets away and Rodrick dies. The title of the story really means that because since they have no descents the house of Usher would fall. My favorite quote of the novel was "Madman! I tell you that she now stands outside the door!" because it shows end of the novel. The house falls to the ground, and Usher and his sister are living in the remains of the house and the house of Usher.
