The house is a large mansion surrounded by a moat and the only way in and out is a small bridge. The narrator and Usher spend most of their time trying to cure Usher and make him feel better. Usher's sister suffers from a deadly sickness and dies, however she reappears from her coffin. At the end of the story the house begins to crumble to pieces. My favorite quote is when Usher hears his sister but no one else did, not even the narrator hears it. This is my favorite quote because it shows how connected the two were.
