MS found in a bottle

One disaster in the story is when the whirlpool cap sizes the ship and everyone on board beside the narrator and one other person dies. Reading is very important because he tosses the bottle into the sea so someone could find it and read it. It is successful because we see a ship and it gives us hope that they might get rescued and at the same time keeps the reader interested. My favorite quote is, "See! See! God! See! See!" this is my favorite quote because when I read this I gained a greater interest in the story because it gave the narrator and the reader hope.
