The book I chose was "Black Hawk Down" written by Mark Bowden. The purpose of this book is to show the true story of how soldiers wouldn't abandon fellow comrades and they risked their lives to save those who were shot down in a helicopter in the middle of a dangerous city in Somalia. The narrative hook would have to have been when the book opens up by saying "at liftoff Matt Eversmann said a Hail Mary" this shows how dangerous the mission the are about to go on is that they might not make it back.
