I read a tale of two cities by Charles Dickens first published in 1850. This book illustrates the political and sociological status of western Europe in the 17th century. I think the best quote in this book is definitely the famous opening sentance, " It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness." To me this is the narrative hook. I like this book very much, it is a classic book and i think everyone should read this atleast once in their life. I find this period in literature very intersting.

key words:
superlative- of the hightest quality, or order.
epoch- a particular period of time marked by distinctive features, events
brood-to think or worry about
forasmuch- in consideration
pilferer-to steal
