1. The Cardinal of the Kremlin was written by Tom Clancy and was published in 1988.
2. The purpose of this book is to entertain and thrill the readers of this story.
3."The Afghan Tribesman held their Islamic faith as the reason for their resistance, but the obstinate courage of these men was as much as a part of their racial heritage as their pitiless eyes" was the narrative hook for me because the people of Afghanistan has defended against many western invaders successfuly.
4.Five key words from the opening chapter are: honorable - of great renown, pitiless - devoid of pity; harsh or cruel, perceptive - having or showing sensitive insight, ruthless - having no compassion for others, Vengeance - Punishment or judgement for worngdoing.
5. So far my book is very interesting because it starts out with action and a conflict between Russia and Afghanistan. The first chapter talks about a dark experience with the Russians and how the people of Afghanistan would retaliate against this.
