The Cardinal of the Kremlin

The book I'm reading is The Cardinal of the Kremlin by Tom Clancy. So far, the setting takes place in the the St. George Hall of the Great Kremlin Palace. In it, is a big party filled with American and Russian politicians, and journalists. The book explains that the party was a delicate place to be in. Politicians had to be careful of their words to not accidentally wage war with one another, or be heard by the spies that roam around the hall. We are introduced to Jack Ryan, who is a member of the CIA, and Sergey Golovko who works in GRU, the Russian counterpart of the CIA of America as they have a casual conversation with each other. Soon after, they meet Mrs. Foley and American woman who is related to, and knows Sergey Golovko. Then, there was Marshall Yazov who was a tank sergeant, but who's sons died a few years ago. In the limousine after the party, nobody talked, because they knew that cars could easily be bugged.

Vocabulary
