"Sunny Morning on Hudson River"

This painting was created by Cole, the founder of the Hudson River School. Cole was born in England and came to America when he was 18 years of age. He came to America to work was an engraver for his father's wallpaper company. Later this year he became interested in painting. In 1825, he created many images that attracted attention from not only American citizens but from the whole world. He created the above painting and many others in the same year depicting a more majestic side of the Hudson River that no one had painted before. This painting gives more of a relaxed theme to the Hudson River. These paintings were unique and more realistic rather than abstract.
