Day in and day out the king would make repulsive jokes about the two dwarfs. The king also had the audacity to get upset at the dwarfs for getting upset at one of the rude comments he made and to hit a female is just wrong. This anger the male dwarf because he had a crush on the female dwarf so he created a diversion which gave him the opportunity to get back at the king. He got back at the king by having him and his council getting chained to the roof, they thought it was a game but then the dwarf burned them and they couldn't move because they were chained down."i could have sworn it was the gritting of the vagabonds teeth" shows that the dwarfs were blamed for things they didn't do and were called homeless.

HOP-FROG
This is a revenge story because the two dwarfs are constantly abused and made fun of everyday.
