Hop- Frog

This story is a revenge tale because Hop- Frog is making the king and his friends pay for making fun of him, forcing him to drink and throwing wine in Trippetta's face. He got revenge by dressing them in flammable suits and putting a lit torch on their suits as the masqueraders were forced to watch. The masqueraders were also trapped in the room with the fetid smell of the burning bodies. The narrator criticized the king and his friends for always being mean to Trippeta and Hop- Frog and he also criticized Hop- Frog and Trippeta for being dwarfs and cripples. "The call it the Eight Chained Ourang- Outangs, and it really is an excellent sport if well enacted." I like this quote because this is when Hop- Frog tricks the king and his counsel.
