In what ways is this story a revenge tale? What is the narrator criticizing about the characters? Add a quote about your favorite part.

This story is a revenge tale because the dwarf and his wife are constantly insulted, put down, and looked down upon by the king and his ministers. After the king spills wine on the dwarf's wife, he becomes enraged and plots to kill the king, his men, and escape with his wife. He then devises the masquerade called "Hop-frog" which, in the end, allows him to escape with his wife. The narrator criticizes the barbarous behavior of the king and his men. The narrator looks at the king as the sort of person that abuses his power. One quote of my favorite part of the movie is when the dwarf yells "I am simply Hop-Frog the jester - and this is my last jest." This quote describes the spite that Hop frog has for the king and also shows that Hop Frog is escaping with his wife.
