Ms. found in a Bottle

In the story Ms. found in a Bottle it is a story of disaster. In the story the man is on a ship and the ship is deluged by a whirlpool, and a tempest with huge waves with huge breaches. . The only survivors were the narrator and a old swede. Then after that a boat appears and the narrator climbs on it. The narrator then studies the ship and all its ballasts. The narrator then writes a message in a bottle and sends it out to sea. The message in a bottle is a great idea because someone will eventually find it if the bottle doesn't sink or the message doesn't get wet. The sea will carry the message very far with the currents and eventually someone will read the message. My favorite quote is "we soon discovered that we were the sole survivors of the accident. All on deck, with the exception of ourselves, had been swept overboard; the captain and mates must have perished while they slept, for the cabins were deluged with water."
