Ms. found in a bottle is a notorious tale about a series of disasters. The first disaster is when the sip is caught in a simoon, cmobination of a sand storm, typhoon, and hurricane. The ship is inevitably breached by a deluge of waves. The only ones from the ship who survived from the ship capsizing where the narrator and an old swede. The ship then drifts south and they eventually collide with a galleon. The narrator is the only one who makes it on to the ship. He then proceeds to write a message in a bottle after he searches all the ballasts of the ship, and sets it out to sea. The ship then sinks after it comes in the way of a whirl pool. I think the message in a bottle is popular because it can go anywhere the sea takes it and whoever receives the message feels like they are destined to get it. This message is successful in keeping the readers interst because it keeps the book moving and you guessing. I would have to say my favorite part of the book was when they said " the swell had surpassed anything I had imagined possible, and that we were not instantly buried is a miracle." I think this is the pinnacle of the story.
